Reaffirming
our political motivation and determination to support development policies which take into account all human development dimensions, and to fight against poverty;

Welcoming the increasing contributions of older people to economic, social and cultural development;

Fully alarmed that 7000 people years 65 and older died in motor vehicle crashes every year;

Recall that a lot of elders do not use computers and other new technologies, however, technology skills are required for most of the jobs;

Acknowledging that millions of people are suffering and dying from diseases such as diabetes, cancer, stroke, and heart diseases every year;

Alarmed by the fact that some people, over the age of 60, are currently involved in volunteer work and donating money as to contribute to the society;


1. Urges all governments to set up systems that prevent the injuries of the elders from transportation; a) Mandatory eye and hearing examinations every three years for age 60 and above, ones who failed
would lose their driving license:

b) Set up free lessons for the elders about
public transportations such as MRT, bus, and taxi including but not limited to:
i) The ways that they can take public transportations
ii) The rules of public transportations
iii) Places that they can arrive by public transportations;

2. Requests for the formation of an organization that is dedicated to:
a) Teaching the elders basic skills of computer and other technologies

b) Advertising to the elders on the usefulness of learning computer and other technologies;

3.
Affirms that aging should be considered in the perspective of economic, social and cultural development, as well as in the perspective of international strategies and plans;

4. Calls upon Governments to make further efforts to apply the principles and recommendations contained in the Plan of Action which is adopted by the World Assembly on Aging in agreement with their national structures, needs and objectives;

5. Asks all member nations to encourage the elders to take part in the community. Elders who could take care of themselves and are willing to support the others are qualified to be a volunteer;

6. Suggests that organizations such as WHO, World Health Organization, to create volunteer programs for elders to get engaged in the society by assisting the unable elders by:
A) Requesting training sessions for proper medical care;
B) Advocating supplies such as wheelchairs, portable bathtubs, and daily needs;
C) Scheduling outside-activities for each other to be more interactive and to maintain this program vivaciously;
